A man in Pickaway County was bitten by a zebra on his farm in Muhlenberg Township on Sunday evening.
The victim is a 72-year-old farmer who is expected to survive his injuries.
When Pickaway County deputies arrived at the scene, they had to scare away the zebra with a horn and siren so they could help the victim.
Body camera footage shows deputies helping the man to safety as they manage the scene.
The zebra lingered and eventually came toward everyone.
One of the deputies made the decision to shoot and kill the animal as it was showing aggression towards the people on the scene, including small children.
The zebra had shown aggression in the past, according to family members and friends.
Zebras are legal to own without any sort of registration or permit under Ohio law.
