Bars in Youngstown, Ohio are getting ready for the St.

Patrick’s Day celebration with many of them opening as early as 6 a.m.

for the festivities.

The city is hosting the Shamrock the Block event downtown, with live music and performances lined up throughout the day.

Paid parking will be available at the parking garage on West Boardman near Eastern Gateway, while free parking will be available in the Children’s services lot on Commerce Street and across the river at the BNO.

Attendees must be 21 or over to participate and IDs will be required.

Despite the rainy forecast, the party is still on, and organizers have set up tents to keep everyone dry.
