Yonkers St.
Patrick’s Day Parade was held as planned despite threats of violence made online.
The threats led to heightened alertness by police who later arrested 32-year-old Redon Cola for allegedly writing on social media about killing police officers and the mayor during the parade.
Despite the threats, attendees of the parade did not allow it to dampen their spirits.
The suspect not only made threats but also voiced support for radical Islamic extremism.
Nonetheless, the parade went on without any incidents, and the Yonkers community expressed pride in their successful event.
