The owner and coach of a Woods Cross gymnastics facility has been charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and voyeurism after a camera was found in a unisex bathroom.
The camera, disguised as a USB charger adapter, was discovered by an employee at USA Gymnastics World on March 3rd, and contained over 70 files dating back to October 2022, showing both adults and children using the restroom.
Court documents say that there are approximately 43 videos showing Adam Jacobs, 33, setting up and adjusting the camera inside the gym’s bathroom and at his home.
On March 22nd, investigators and the internet crimes against children’s task force arrived at Jacobs’ residence and took several other items for processing.
Jacobs has been booked on several counts and the state has requested he be held without bail.
The gym remains open as officers do not believe any other employees are involved.
Police have identified and are working to contact all victims in Woods Cross.
