Good afternoon, I’m Sharon DQ, and we begin with a breaking news update. Shabria Harris, a 47-year-old woman, has pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated DUI causing death. Police say that Harris was under the influence of alcohol when she drove onto the pedestrian path of the I74 Bridge, striking three men in May of last year.
Tragically, two of the men lost their lives while the third suffered injuries. Today, a judge sentenced Harris to 20 years in prison.
She must serve at least 85% of her sentence before being.
