In Custody: Woman Arrested for Series of Baseball Bat Attacks in Chicago

Chicago, IL – Chicago police have apprehended a woman in connection with a string of violent attacks using a baseball bat on the city’s Northwest Side.

At least six incidents involving nine victims have been attributed to the suspect, who was taken into custody following the latest assault.

Eyewitnesses report that the assailant, a woman driving a white car, targeted unsuspecting individuals with a metal baseball bat.

The attacks occurred in various locations within the Ravenswood Manor neighborhood.

Shannon, a resident who was working from home, managed to capture part of a video showing two women walking with a baby just moments before the attack took place.

“She was probably swinging the baseball bat for about 10 seconds before I came out.

It was very quick.

We called the police immediately afterward.

It was shocking and scary.

Thank God they did not hit the baby,” Shannon recounted.

The victims include a mother and an aunt who were struck by the assailant’s weapon.

Witnesses expressed their shock and disbelief at the violent incidents they witnessed.

By noon, three more similar attacks had occurred in the area, leading investigators to believe that the same woman was responsible for all of them.

Law enforcement officials are actively investigating the case and are working to gather additional evidence to strengthen the charges against the suspect.

The motive behind the attacks remains unknown at this time.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police.

The authorities are encouraging anyone with further information related to the incidents to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
