The First Coast is in for a week of pleasant weather as skies clear up after a damp start to Monday morning.

While the south of the First Coast may experience some rainfall closer to Daytona, Southeastern Florida is still recovering from floods last week and even saw a funnel cloud from stronger storms last night.

However, the clouds will gradually give way throughout the week, with plenty of sunshine in the forecast from Tuesday onwards.

Temperatures will also gradually warm up, with today being a few degrees below the average of 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Tonight is expected to be chilly, especially for inland areas with temperatures dipping into the 40s for places like Waycross and Valdosta.

Lighter winds are expected on Tuesday, with plenty of sunshine for the rest of the week due to high pressure dominating.

The next real chance of rain is not expected until the weekend.
