In honor of St.

Patrick’s Day, Warwick police are offering free rides home for residents to ensure everyone gets home safely after celebrations.

The Matthew Dennison Foundation, created in memory of a West Warwick High School hockey player who died in a drunk driving accident last year, has also teamed up with Lyft to offer discounted rides for the day.

Anyone planning on using a ride-share app in Rhode Island can use the promo code “md16 ride safe” for 16% off.

Warwick police have offered this program in the past and received only six phone calls last year, but they are expecting a busier night this year since it falls on a Friday going into the weekend.

To take advantage of this program, call 401-732-0308 between 7 pm tonight and 2 am tomorrow.

Let’s all celebrate safely and responsibly this St.

Patrick’s Day.
