Warm and Windy Weekend Expected in Las Cruces and El Paso

Residents of Las Cruces and El Paso are in for a warm and windy weekend, with gusty winds expected to pick up by noon on Saturday.

According to a wind gusts model, El Paso could see gusts of up to 29 miles per hour, while Las Cruces could experience gusts of up to 30 miles per hour.

These winds are predicted to continue throughout the day and into Sunday morning before tapering off.

Despite the windy conditions, temperatures are expected to remain above average for this time of year, with El Paso reaching a high of 78 degrees and Las Cruces reaching a high of 75 degrees.

The windy conditions are expected to be strongest from 1 to 5 p.m.
