Get ready for a warm and dry Cinco De Mayo, as the day is likely to be mostly dry with more sunshine than cloud cover.

Fabulous Friday highs in the 70s are expected with low rain chances, and the weekend will remain warm with better rain chances on Sunday afternoon into the evening hours, with a possible storm nearby.

However, summer storms are more likely next week.

Temperatures in the mountains will be around 36 degrees in the morning and highs near 64.

In the foothills, the temperature will be around 41 to 69 degrees, while the Piedmont will experience a temperature range of 43 to 71 degrees.

Although there is a 20% chance of isolated showers on Saturday, the focus will be in the eastern triad, with spotty storm chances on Tuesday.

It looks like an afternoon rain event on Sunday and Monday, which may produce light rain with about a quarter of an inch, but not everyone will get good rainfall.

In Winston-Salem, the temperature is 56 degrees, while in Greensboro it is 54 degrees.
