Computer models are predicting a warm and breezy day across the viewing area.

The Storm Prediction Center does not indicate any severe storms or thunderstorms throughout the region.

Any pop-up storms that may occur will likely be west of the lake later in the afternoon.

Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-80s, with West Palm reaching 85 degrees, Stewart at 84 degrees, and Port St.

Lucie at 83 degrees.

Inland areas such as Okeechobee and Wellington will experience slightly higher temperatures, with Okeechobee reaching 86 degrees and Wellington around 87 degrees.

These temperatures are normal for this time of year.

The weekend forecast looks promising, with a nice breeze and partly to mostly sunny conditions.

There are no significant showers or storms expected for the entire viewing area.

Future radar indicates dry conditions throughout the day, with the possibility of showers and storms inland, away from the coast.

However, beachgoers should be cautious as the east coast sea breeze is expected to be strong, reaching speeds of up to 20 miles per hour.

This will result in a high rip current risk, so it is advised to swim only at guarded beaches.

Mothers planning a trip to the beach tomorrow morning for Mother’s Day may encounter some early morning showers, but the rest of the day should remain mostly dry.

Heading into the extended forecast, the rip current risk remains high for today, and the seas are running at about 3 to 5 feet.

The Treasure Coast can expect breezy and warm conditions with mostly sunny skies and a high of 84 degrees.

In the Palm Beaches, temperatures will reach 85 degrees, and small craft caution is advised for boaters due to easterly winds of 15 to 20 knots and seas of 3 to 5 feet.

Looking ahead to the weekend, the weather will continue to be mostly sunny and breezy, with rain chances less than 10%.

On Mother’s Day, there may be a few scattered early morning showers, but conditions will clear out in the afternoon, and temperatures will rise near 86 degrees.

Monday and Tuesday are expected to be dry with hot weather in the forecast.
