A string of violent incidents involving juveniles at San Francisco’s Stonestown Galleria has prompted police investigations and increased security measures at the shopping center.
Video footage of the fights has been circulating on social media, showing assailants attacking and kicking individuals on the ground, as well as a violent brawl inside a Target store.
The fights occurred last week on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and police are still investigating the cause.
The mall’s parent company, Brookfield Property, says they take the situation seriously and are working with the police to increase security.
The San Francisco Police Department has a visible presence at the mall, and students at a nearby high school report being aware of the incidents.
The school district has not commented on any involvement of students, but any violence will not be tolerated.
No arrests have been made so far.
