Villanova Wildcats Women’s Basketball Team Excites Fans in March Madness
The Villanova Wildcats Women’s Basketball team is hosting the first weekend of March Madness and fans are pumped up.
The team, ranked fourth, is playing against 13th seed Cleveland State in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
The star of the team, Maddie Siegrist, is the Big East all-time leading scorer in women’s basketball and fans believe she can lead the team to victory.
“I’m feeling really good.
We got a great squad this year.
Maddie Siegrist, National Player of the Year in my pick.
I think we can win,” said one fan.
Despite the men’s team not meeting expectations this season, fans are having more fun cheering on the women’s team.
“It’s been great to cheer on the women’s team.
I have so much faith in this team, and I’m excited to see how far they go,” said another fan.
If the Villanova Wildcats Women’s Basketball team wins tonight, they will play against Florida Gulf Coast in the second round of the tournament at the Pavilion.
Fans are excited to continue cheering on their team and hope they can run the table in March Madness.
