A Utah community recently came together to celebrate the 100th birthday of a World War II veteran.
Mr.
Hamada served in the United States Army 442nd regiment combat team, the most decorated unit in World War II.
He was one of the lucky soldiers to have survived the war and received a Purple Heart for his bravery.
Despite not expecting to reach 100 years old, Mr.
Hamada attributes his long life to the care provided by his son and daughter-in-law.
He was grateful for the celebration and thanked everyone for making his day wonderful.
The community celebrated his milestone birthday and honored his service to the nation.
