Here’s a sneak peek at your upcoming week. On Monday, we will be celebrating World Kindness Day. This day is dedicated to spreading acts of kindness in communities worldwide and showcasing how compassion brings people together. As part of this, Chrisy Cream is generously offering a free dozen donuts to the first 500 guests at all their shops across the country.
So, if you live near the Auburn location in Maine, or don’t mind taking a drive, you can savor one of these delightful treats. On Tuesday, you can support the city of Lewiston by purchasing lobsters at various Portland restaurants. Luke’s Lobster, Jay Oyster Dillos, and The Porthole are partnering with local lobstermen to raise funds for the victims and their families.
Each restaurant will also feature their own special lobster dish. Looking ahead, don’t miss out on the Maine Harvest Festival happening in Bangor next weekend. Over 200 farmers and food producers will gather to celebrate this 11th annual event. In addition to kickstarting your holiday shopping, you can also indulge in drinks from breweries and distilleries across the state.
The festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
at the Cross Insurance Center on Main Street. Tickets are priced at $8 for individuals aged 13 and older, while veterans and active military members can get tickets for $6 each. For more details, visit the Maine Harvest Festival website..
