Unseasonably cool conditions will continue in Alabama, with temperatures expected to remain below average for this time of year.

The weather experts at WVTM 13 report that although there is a lot of dry air, there is also a significant amount of moisture in the upper levels of the atmosphere, resulting in cloud formations.

While it is unusual to see ice crystals in clouds at this time of year, they have been observed due to the cold air interacting with the dry atmosphere.

The good news is that pollen counts are expected to be down, and warmer weather is on the horizon for next week, with temperatures expected to reach 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

However, a cold snap is forecasted for the weekend, with freezing temperatures expected on Sunday and Monday mornings.

Despite the chilly conditions, Alabamians are urged to hang tight as warmer weather is on the way.
