More than 200 volunteers have already signed up for the week’s events, with over 600 hours set to be completed.
The United Way is hosting the events in collaboration with various local organizations, including opportunities to sort donations and assemble food bags for Guilford County students at Backpack Beginnings, help Habitat for Humanity build a home, participate in park cleanups, garden at various locations, and write greeting cards for seniors.
The United Way of Greensboro hopes to encourage people to engage in their communities and make a positive change in someone’s life, and their website has a full list of volunteering events for the week, as well as ongoing volunteer efforts and options that can be done from home.
