Lexington provided a prime location to view the Wings Over South Texas air show on Saturday, featuring the iconic Blue Angels flying over Corpus Christi Bay.
The aircraft carrier, which has a strong connection to naval aviation training and the Blue Angels themselves, offers one of the best spots to view the show.
The flight deck, which played a significant role in training over 35,000 aviators during World War II, provides a historic and iconic backdrop for the event.
Visitors were also provided with first aid and medical staff, as well as shade and water to combat dehydration.
The air show continues on Sunday, with general admission tickets available for $18.95.
