Two Phoenix taco shops, Del Taco and La Santisima Gourmet Taco Shop, were recently included in this week’s Dirty Dining list, which highlights restaurants with health violations.

The violations were discovered by health inspectors who found several issues during their inspections.

At Del Taco on 44th Street near Bick Dowel Road in Phoenix, three major health code violations were observed.

These violations included spray bottles placed above coffee filters, organic matter on an ice machine, and mayo and sour cream not kept cold enough.

Similarly, La Santisima Gourmet Taco Shop on Thomas Road off 40th Street in Phoenix also faced violations.

The health inspectors discovered four violations, which included an employee not properly washing his hands, organic matter on an ice machine, ham and sausage kept past its discard date, and raw eggs stored above produce.

Additionally, a hand wash sink was found to be blocked by a drawing rack.

These health violations highlight the need for restaurants to maintain cleanliness and adhere to proper food safety protocols.

Customers should be aware of such violations and make informed choices when dining out.

It is important for restaurants to address these issues promptly to ensure the health and safety of their patrons.
