A shooting at a South Columbus nightclub has left two people dead and four others injured.

The incident occurred early Saturday morning at the Plug After Hours club, with police responding to a call at around 5:11am.

Upon arrival, they found 21-year-old Antoine Artists dead inside the club, while 22-year-old Jaden Peacock was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in a private vehicle where he later died.

The other four injured victims, aged between 27 and 36, are expected to survive.

Police are still investigating the incident and have not yet identified any suspects.

Community leaders are calling for action to address the issue of gun violence in the city, with local pastor Mark Hampton planning to host a youth summit in April aimed at promoting non-violence.

However, he emphasized that everyone in the community must be engaged in the effort to prevent further incidents.
