Mandatory evacuations have been ordered for the River Road area along the Tuolumne River in Modesto due to flooding.
The evacuation order is for residents and businesses located between South 9th Street and Avon Street.
The Tuolumne River is currently at 50 feet, and flood stage is at 55 feet.
Street flooding has already been observed in the area, and officials are keeping a close eye on all local rivers as they continue to rise due to rain and runoff.
Evacuations have also been ordered in Tulare County, where heavy rains have turned a small creek and cow pasture into a raging river, causing water to overflow onto roads.
