A Tulsa man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for manslaughter and driving under the influence.

The man, who has not been named, was involved in a drag race in his Dodge Charger in 2021 when he ran a red light and collided with a Jeep Cherokee.

The Jeep burst into flames, ejecting two passengers, killing one and severely injuring the other.

The man, identified as Miguel Romero by police, was sentenced to 20 years for first-degree manslaughter and 10 years for driving under the influence.

The incident serves as a tragic reminder of the dangers of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
