In a shocking announcement on social media, former US President Donald Trump said he expects to be arrested on Tuesday.
This comes as Manhattan prosecutors investigate hush money payments made to women who alleged sexual encounters with the ex-president.
One of those women is Stormy Daniels, a former adult film star, who met with state lawyers on Wednesday to answer questions about secret payments allegedly made to her just days before the 2016 presidential election.
Daniels has agreed to make herself available as a witness in the case.
Trump’s former fixer Michael Cohen has also testified twice before the grand jury this week and is considered a key witness in the investigation.
