Former President Donald Trump is not expected to be indicted today by the New York grand jury that has reconvened, according to sources cited by NBC News.

The grand jury is meeting but not to hear arguments related to the hush money case.

Meanwhile, Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg has accused House Republicans of trying to interfere with his investigation into Trump.

In a letter, Bragg said that their request for him to testify before Congress about the case was an “unprecedented inquiry into a pending local prosecution”.

The timing of any developments in the hush money case is uncertain, but the earliest that an update is expected is Monday.
