In a recent CBS News YouGov poll of 2,300 voters, former President Donald Trump has opened up a staggering 36-point lead over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Trump now leads DeSantis 58% to 22%, according to the poll.

This is an even larger lead than what had been previously reported.

Many political experts are now saying that unless something drastic changes, there may not be a path for anyone other than Trump to win the Republican nomination, including DeSantis.

Even if DeSantis were to take support away from Trump, he would still not have the necessary 50% to win the nomination.

Trump already has enough support within the Republican Party to win the nomination without convincing a single additional voter.

We will have to wait and see if anything changes in the coming weeks, but as of right now, it appears that Trump is on track to be the Republican nominee once again.
