Former President Donald Trump claimed in a social media post this morning that he expects to be arrested on Tuesday.

The post is related to the investigation into hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels prior to the 2016 election.

Trump also called on his supporters to protest, though ABC News has not verified the claims and the Manhattan District Attorney’s office has not commented on the matter.

According to a spokesperson and lawyer for Trump, the post was based on media reports and not any actual update from prosecutors.

Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney who gave testimony against him, stated that he worked for a man who ultimately became the president of the United States and admitted that there were things they did wrong, such as the hush money payment.

However, he never expected that democracy would be on the line as a direct result of the former president.

It is unclear whether Stormy Daniels will be called to testify, but she has stated that she is in a fight for truth and justice.

Cohen could be a star witness for the prosecution if this case goes to trial.
