Truck Rams into Renton Gun Shop, Causing Damage Worth Thousands of Dollars

A truck crashed into a gun shop in Renton early Wednesday morning, causing extensive damage worth thousands of dollars.

The incident happened on 116th Avenue between Petrovitsky and 168th in the Cascade Village.

Fortunately, no guns or cash were taken during the break-in.

Surveillance footage captured the moment the Ford F-250 flatbed truck smashed into the Pantel Tactical store, causing the storefront to cave in.

According to reports, there were two suspects involved in the incident, and two trucks were used, but only one was used to ram into the store.

The store owner arrived at the scene shortly after the alarm went off, and the police arrived about ten minutes later.

While the store’s security measures prevented the burglars from taking any firearms or cash, they did manage to get away with some magazines worth about $4,500, as well as some night vision goggles and pepper spray.

The store owner has faced attempted break-ins before, with two other incidents occurring in June 2020 and October 2022.

However, the previous attempts were unsuccessful, and the upgraded security system helped to prevent this recent burglary from being more severe.

Police are currently investigating the incident, and anyone with information is urged to contact the authorities.

Meanwhile, the store owner has expressed relief that no guns or cash were taken and that the damage was not more severe.

Fox 13 News will continue to follow the story and provide updates as more information becomes available.
