A group of 32 men from Troy University’s Alpha Tau Omega fraternity successfully completed their annual six-day Spring Break walk from their campus to Panama City Beach, covering a distance of 128.3 miles.
Since 2009, the fraternity has been making this walk to raise money for the Jeep Sullivan Wounded Warrior Outdoor Adventures Program, which helps support veterans with physical and mental health issues.
The fraternity brothers were cheered on by their families, friends, and even the police chief as they arrived at Pier Park in Panama City Beach.
The group raised a total of $125,500 for the program, exceeding their base goal of $60,000 for the year.
The fraternity has been doing this walk for over a decade, and it has become a tradition that not only supports a great cause but also promotes mental toughness and personal growth among the participants.
