Train carrying cars derails in Hardin County; at least 8 railcars off the tracks
A train carrying new cars has derailed in downtown Glendale, Hardin County.
According to reports, eight CSX railcars are off the tracks, but the Hardin County Sheriff has emphasized that there are no hazardous materials involved.
The incident occurred just before 3 pm near Main Street, and it appears that the train stopped because a semi-truck was stuck on the tracks.
However, the derailment occurred far back from where the train initially stopped.
Images from the scene show the derailed cars scattered around the area, with one car resting up against a nearby business.
It is reported that one person may have been hurt, but the extent of their injuries is not yet known.
Both train crossings in Glendale are currently closed, and authorities are on the ground investigating the incident.
