Tragic Shooting Incident Leaves One Dead in Springfield
A fatal shooting occurred on Friday evening in the 0-100 block of Cadwell Drive, resulting in the death of one person.
According to Ryan Walsh, spokesperson for the Springfield Police, officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim at around 7 pm.
The adult male victim was taken to Bay State for treatment, but unfortunately, he later died from his injuries.
The suspect in the shooting, an adult male, was apprehended at the scene and is now in custody.
The Springfield homicide unit has launched an investigation into the incident.
