A 16-year-old was fatally shot late Tuesday night in northwest Miami-Dade.
The incident started with a shot spotter alert, and a concerned neighbor called Local 10 after it happened.
The victim was shot and killed outside of North Park at Scott Carver Apartments just before midnight.
The victim was known to police due to previous shootings and was recently taken into custody for his involvement in a separate shooting.
The scene was active for nearly 10 hours, and investigators surrounded the body covered by a yellow tarp.
It is still unclear whether or not police know who the person responsible is, and there is no word yet on the identity of the victim.
