Three Arrested in Deadly Shooting of 20-Year-Old in Antelope

Antelope, [Date] – In a tragic incident that unfolded in Antelope, three individuals have been arrested following a shooting that claimed the life of a 20-year-old man.

The Sacramento County deputies made the announcement just moments ago, providing some closure to a community yearning for answers and justice.

The arrests were made on Monday, and the suspects have been identified as 19-year-old Randall Watanabe, 23-year-old Leah Perez, and 18-year-old Oscar Silvestri.

The victim, a young man of only 20 years old, lost his life in the shooting.

For the first time, investigators have shed light on the circumstances leading up to this fatal event.

A small memorial now marks the corner where the tragedy took place, with a wrecked car serving as a somber reminder of the violence that unfolded here just one night earlier.

Surveillance footage captured the moment the driver crashed into a parked vehicle before reversing back into the intersection.

Yvonne Guevara, a neighbor living next door, recounted the chaotic scene she witnessed.

“All I heard was the crash from when the person crashed into a parked vehicle, which then crashed into our fence,” she said.

Guevara was one of the first to see the driver, who had sustained a gunshot wound and was rapidly losing his life.

“I didn’t hear a gunshot, but when I saw him, he looked like he was bleeding out.

He was kind of in his final moments, and he ended up passing away.”

Despite the swift arrival of first responders, there was nothing they could do to save the young victim’s life.

It took 24 hours for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office to announce the arrests of the three suspects, whose ages range from 18 to 23.

Investigators have now provided insight into the sequence of events leading up to the shooting.

According to authorities, the victim had arranged a meeting with the suspects via text messages to purchase narcotics near Firestone Park.

However, during the meeting, the suspects attempted to rob him, ultimately resorting to violence and shooting him on the spot.

The quiet neighborhood where this incident occurred is still grappling with the shock of such a heinous act.

“I think our hearts are in shock that something like this happened.

It’s not something you see every day,” expressed a resident.

The young age of both the victim and the suspects involved in this shocking act of violence has further amplified the sense of disbelief within the community.

The Sheriff’s Office has disclosed that Watanabe, 19, was the alleged mastermind behind the plan, while Perez, 23, acted as the driver, and Silvestri, 18, arranged the meeting.

As this story continues to unfold, we will closely follow developments surrounding the tragic loss of the 20-year-old victim.
