A 12-year-old girl was killed and a 15-year-old girl was injured in a shooting at a house party on the West Side of San Antonio.
The incident happened around 2:30 am in the 2100 block of South Callahan Road.
Police responded to the scene and found the two victims with gunshot wounds.
The 12-year-old victim was found near the doorway and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other girl was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
There were adults and teens at the party at the time of the shooting, but police have not released any potential arrest or suspect information.
Neighbors in the area say they’ve heard gunshots recently and this is a concern for them.
The incident does not appear to be a drive-by shooting as was initially reported.
