The tragic incident occurred on the Indian Nation Turnpike near the town of Hannah in McIntosh County last night, shortly before 9 PM.
According to reports, the victim, identified as a man from Texas, was riding a motorcycle at a high speed when he took an exit ramp.
However, he failed to maintain control of the vehicle and collided with a concrete divider wall.
The impact propelled him into the rear of a semi-truck.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene but, unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on site.
Authorities have not released the name of the victim pending notification of his family.
