Tragic Lower Valley House Fire Leaves Dog Dead and Three Children Hospitalized

Yesterday afternoon, El Paso Fire officials responded to a house fire on Ventura Drive in Padilla Drive.

The fire was quickly extinguished, but sadly, a dog that was inside the home did not survive.

Additionally, three children were hospitalized as a result of the fire.

According to officials, one of the minors was taken to the hospital with second-degree burns, while the other two were treated for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.

This devastating incident serves as a reminder of the importance of fire safety in the home, and the need for families to have working smoke detectors and fire escape plans in place.
