An armored vehicle transporting two billion pesos was attacked by armed men with explosives and gunfire on the Aguachica-Río de Oro highway in the Cesar department.
The robbers were unable to steal the money, but unfortunately, one of the escorts was killed during the attack.
The incident was captured on video by the driver of a cargo truck who witnessed the attack.
The injured escort was taken to a hospital but later died from his injuries.
Two police officers arrived at the scene and exchanged gunfire with the attackers.
