On May 22nd, a tragic incident occurred in Simpson County, resulting in the death of a 77-year-old man.

The unfortunate event took place on Highway 13 near Boggan Ridge Road.

According to the Highway Patrol, Edwin Jackson, the 77-year-old victim, veered off the road and collided with a tree.

The fatal crash transpired at approximately 6 p.m.
