Six people have died in a car crash that occurred on Wednesday afternoon on the westside of the Baltimore Beltway in Woodlawn.
According to the Maryland State Police, the accident involved one car, which flipped over and was picked up by tow trucks.
The car was inside barriers set up for a construction zone where crews were working on the roadway.
Two people were transported to the hospital in critical condition by Baltimore County firefighters.
The crash caused massive traffic delays, and the Beltway was closed for a while.
The State Police Crash Team is investigating the incident to determine the cause of the accident.
The Governor of Maryland, Wes Moore, has expressed his condolences to the victims and their families and is monitoring the situation closely.
