Good evening, I’m Jeremiah Marshall. Tonight, we have an update on a tragic shooting incident that occurred in Edinburg, resulting in the death of a 16-year-old boy. Additionally, a 21-year-old woman is currently in critical condition.
Three men have been apprehended and are now in custody. The individuals arrested are Antonio Rodriguez (21 years old), Joseph Castillo (20 years old), and Rudy Cornado (18 years old).
Two of them are from far, while the other is from San Juan. The incident took place on Saturday at the 7200 block of Iowa Road.
Tragically, the 16-year-old victim succumbed to his gunshot wounds, and the 21-year-old woman was immediately transported to the hospital for medical attention. The three men have been formally charged with murder and have been confined to the Hidalgo County Jail awaiting arraignment. Investigators are urging any witnesses to come forward and provide any information or assistance related to this incident.
