Breaking News: Three Deadly Fires Investigated Across the Piedmont Triad

Today at noon, investigators are looking into three deadly fires that have all occurred within the last 24 hours across the Piedmont Triad.

In Trinity, at least one person died after an early morning fire at a home on Fuller Mill Road.

The person killed has not yet been identified, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.

Another person died in an apartment fire in Wilkes County on Rock Creek Road in H Hayes, and a female was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of that fire is still under investigation.

In Summerfield, a woman died after a house fire broke out yesterday morning on Horseshoe Drive, and a dog also died in that fire.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

In Archdale, a man died after crashing into a building at Happily American Company on Shannon Drive.

The man killed has been identified as Richard Bazan, and there’s been no word yet on what may have caused the crash.

In Winston-Salem, police are investigating a deadly crash as well.

Theresa McClain was driving on Union Cross Road last night when she went off the road and hit a tree.

She died at the scene, and officers are not yet sure what caused her to crash.

Part of that road was closed for several hours.

The investigations into these incidents are ongoing, and WXII 12 News will provide updates as more information becomes available.
