A woman in Erlanger, Kentucky, was subjected to a violent carjacking and shooting in her driveway at around 3 a.m.

on Wednesday morning.

The thieves shot at her and her brother before stealing her car and leading police on a chase all the way to Louisville.

The suspects crashed the stolen vehicle, a silver BMW, into another car, causing it to burst into flames.

The woman’s car was disabled by OnStar and later recovered, but the suspects had already fled in two other vehicles.

The incident involved a total of 11 suspects, who had been spotted going through cars in Ellsmere just minutes before.

One juvenile girl from Louisville has already been arrested, but police hope to apprehend the other 10 suspects soon.

The incident highlights the importance of not leaving cars running unattended without proper security measures.
