Teen with Perfect School Attendance Reported Missing

Gwinnett County Police have taken over the case of a missing 14-year-old student, Ashley Bell, who was last seen outside Parkview High School on May 24.

The school district’s police department initially investigated her disappearance before the case was transferred to the county police.

Ashley’s family expressed deep concern, stating that her disappearance is highly unusual for her.

Authorities are urging the community, particularly teenagers who may have interacted with Ashley prior to her disappearance, to come forward with any information that could help in the search.

Investigators hope that individuals who had contact with Ashley leading up to her disappearance can provide valuable tips about her communication and possible associates.

On Wednesday, the police department issued a Missing Endangered Child Alert, accompanied by pictures of Ashley.

The inclusion of “endangered” in the alert is due to her age and the concern that she may not have access to resources or proper care.

Authorities do not believe she had any money or means of supporting herself.

The provided picture captures Ashley’s appearance on the day she went missing.

She is described as a black female, approximately five feet three inches tall, weighing 145 pounds.

Ashley has curly black hair and was last seen wearing a white shirt, brown tights, and brown and white shoes.

Ashley’s father emphasized her perfect school attendance and expressed disbelief that she would voluntarily leave her family.

Despite the distressing situation, he remains hopeful and committed to searching for his daughter every single day.

The family believes that Ashley may have befriended someone through an app who convinced her to meet, leading to her disappearance.

Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information about Ashley’s activities before her disappearance to contact the Gwinnett County Police.

Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.

The community’s cooperation and vigilance are essential in finding Ashley and ensuring her safe return home.
