A teenage girl has been hospitalized after a shooting incident at an apartment complex in northeast Austin, according to local police.
The incident took place on East Howard Lane, and authorities are currently investigating the matter.
Approximately 15 to 20 shots were fired in the parking lot, leading to the discovery of shell casings.
The area has been cordoned off as investigators work to gather evidence.
The girl was found with a gunshot wound to the head, although it is yet to be determined whether she was shot while inside a pickup truck or if she was transported there after being injured elsewhere.
Another individual reported a bullet passing through their wall, causing ringing in their ears.
Multiple vehicles in the parking lot also sustained bullet holes.
As of now, no suspects have been taken into custody.
