Taunton Man Sentenced to Up to Six Years in Prison for Drugs and Gun Charges
Luis Garcia Rodriguez, a 39-year-old drug dealer from Taunton, has been sentenced to up to six years in prison for several narcotics and drug and gun charges.
The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office reported that state police searched his Bay Street apartment and vehicle in January of last year, resulting in Rodriguez and his girlfriend fleeing in her car and crashing into a trooper’s cruiser.
Rodriguez was eventually apprehended, wearing a cross body bag containing drugs and a gun.
According to the district attorney, Troopers searched Rodriguez’s apartment and found even more evidence against him.
Rodriguez was out on bail for prior drug charges when he was arrested.
He has now been sentenced to serve time behind bars for his crimes.
