Man Injured in Targeted Shooting on I-95 North in Providence: Rhode Island State Police
A man was shot and suffered non-threatening injuries on I-95 North in Providence in what is believed to be a targeted attack, according to the Rhode Island State Police.
The incident took place on Wednesday night and ended on Chestnut Street in Providence, where police blocked off the area.
The suspect reportedly fired at the victim, who was in a separate car, on the highway before the victim exited at Memorial Blvd and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police are currently investigating the incident, which they believe was a drive-by shooting.
Former President Donald Trump has made comments about the incident, but they are not included in the official news report.
