A high-speed pursuit in Rancho Palace Vertis ended in a scuffle with officers on Wednesday morning.

The suspect attempted to flee on foot after abandoning his Mini Cooper, but was quickly caught by deputies who engaged in a physical altercation.

Although no deputies were injured, the suspect sustained minor injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken into custody.

The incident caused Northbound Western at Caddington to be temporarily shut down for investigation.
