Raymond Gore, one of the two suspects indicted in the Maple Avenue murders in Portsmouth, faced another hearing today.
Judge Johnny Morrison denied bail for Gore, who faces 12 counts in relation to the quadruple murder case that occurred in June of last year.
Four people were shot in broad daylight in a home on Maple Avenue, with one of them being wounded.
The case against Gore was dismissed twice before being indicted by a grand jury in January.
Gore’s defense team argued that the prosecution failed to establish probable cause and pointed out discrepancies in the eyewitness testimony.
Despite this, the judge denied bond for Gore.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Morales stated that her office is committed to seeking the truth and treating all witnesses with dignity.
