A suspect in the Valinda area of Los Angeles County has barricaded himself inside a home and is exchanging gunfire with sheriff’s deputies.
The incident began at around 2:30 pm on Friday when the suspect started shooting in a different location in Hacienda Heights.
Two people claimed they were shot at and went to the industry substation to report it.
Deputies are concerned for the safety of the suspect’s neighbors and have evacuated the surrounding area.
A crisis control team is trying to negotiate with the suspect to get him to surrender safely.
No deputies have been hurt in the incident so far.
