The brutal murder of Ephron Ibarra Barcenas has finally led to an arrest, with Christians Segura Alvarez facing charges in connection with the crime.
Ibarra Barcenas’ body was found burned in a field in Ruskin, Florida, last month, and new details have emerged from an affidavit, revealing that Segura Alvarez allegedly helped load the victim’s body into a truck before unloading it in the field where it was discovered.
He also admitted to being one of the last people seen with Ibarra Barcenas alive and claimed to have witnessed someone else killing him.
Detectives used the victim’s phone to track down the suspects, and surveillance footage captured Segura Alvarez and another man at several convenience stores with the victim’s truck.
Segura Alvarez is charged with second-degree murder and tampering with evidence and is currently in custody.
The victim’s family is one step closer to finding closure after this arrest.
