Gunfire Erupts During Colby College Party, Suspect in Custody
A student housing complex at Colby College in Waterville, Maine was locked down this morning after shots were fired during an annual all-night St.
Patrick’s Day party known as Doghead.
The incident left students frightened and in chaos.
One student described the situation as a constant fear of someone walking outside with a gun ready to shoot.
Thankfully, no students were harmed.
Police have a suspect in custody, 24-year-old Andrew Gifford of Waterville, who faces a felony charge of reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon.
The school has confirmed that Gifford is not affiliated with the college.
